Painted Valley Farms is now in our 16th year of offering summer horse camps. The kids have a great time and we have had many kids coming back for a second week or coming back the following year. At Painted Valley Farms our summer camps are FUN! The kids get to do lots of activities but mostly concentrating on learning basic horse handling and riding. We focused on safety while still having a great time and making friends.
Our camp is open for ages 6 to 12 years of age. We have several levels that are designed for those who have little to no experience with horses or riding to those students who can saddle and walk/trot their horses. Students will learn a variety of things about horses including: different colors, feeding needs, breeds, saddle and bridle parts, grooming and riding basics. Students will handle and ride horses in the morning and afternoon. The week ends with an exhibition for family and friends of the students newly acquired riding skills and knowledge. Advanced Levels are available for returning students and students taking lessons.
